PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
RUMOFAT is a very palatable and digestible Rumen By-Pass High Energy Supplement. RUMOFAT contains long chain fatty acids that have been formulated utilizing the flavor and nutrition technology that goes into every Morgan product. RUMOFAT’s unique formulation has been specially designed to maximize Palatability and Energy Intake, Dry Matter Digestibility, and therefore Total Dairy Herd Performance.

RUMOFAT is manufactured using Morgan’s patented process for encapsulating and thus stabilizing nutrients and flavors within the prill (smooth spherical) fatty acid beadlets. RUMOFAT consists of a selected blend of long chain fatty acids which have been spray chilled with cane molasses and one of Morgan’s proprietary flavors to form a solid fatty acid prilled beadlet that has cane molasses and flavor entrapped and evenly dispersed throughout the solid fatty acid matrix.

Spray chilling RUMOFAT with this unique process results in a concentrated high energy supplement that has unsurpassed aroma, flavor, palatability and digestibility. RUMOFAT has the aroma and taste that dairy cattle like so they readily accept this unique high energy supplement while maintaining maximum dry matter intake.

Due to its chemical and physical properties, RUMOFAT’s unique formulation remains inert in the rumen, thus by-passing rumen fermentation. Because it is rumen inert, RUMOFAT has no significant effect on rumen fermentation of other feedstuffs or fiber digestibility. RUMOFAT by-passes the rumen and is effectively emulsified and readily digested in the lower digestive tract.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
RUMOFAT is a dark tan to brown free flowing fatty acid blend with a pleasant aroma. The prilled RUMOFAT beadlets handle and pour easily with excellent flow ability compared to some other fat products.

The spray chilled beadlets are non dusty and mix easily in grain mixes. RUMOFAT is readily mixable up to 1ff degrees F without loss of encapsulated nutrients and flavors. Mechanical fracture of the prilled beadlets during mixing will be minimal and of no consequence since the entrapped nutrients and flavors are evenly dispersed throughout the solid fatty acid matrix.

Also, because of its excellent palatability and handling characteristics, RUMOFAT can be top dressed and/or fed by computer mechanisms.

RUMOFAT can be mixed into feeds intended for pelleting and pellets easily at inclusion rates as high as 40 percent. The heat generated by pelleting will not affect RUMOFAT’s rumen by-pass characteristics and will not damage the nutrient value of the fatty acid blend.

RUMOFAT is available in 50 lb. or 20 kg poly lined bags, or supersacks.

FUNCTIONS
·         Solves energy deficit problems in high producing cows, young growing cows, environmentally stressed cows, and/or early lactation cows while normal rumen metabolism and digestibility is maintained.
·            Effectively combined with Type I and Type II fat sources to boost total dietary fat to 6 to 8 percent of the total ration dry matter without effecting rumen fermentation or fiber digestion.
·         Produces no heat of fermentation, ideal for summer feeding of heat stressed cows typically with lower feed intakes.
·         Increases ration energy density while maintaining the desired forage to concentrate ration.
·         Improves energy intake when feed intake limits are reached (when your cows can’t or won’t eat more).

FEEDING RECOMMENDATIONS
For best results, RUMOFAT Rumen By-Pass High Energy Supplement should be a component of a properly balanced ration. RUMOFAT supplementation at .5 to 2.0 lbs. per cow per day will normally meet the increased energy needs of high producing cows, young growing cows and environmentally stressed cows. RUMOFAT should be used to replace starchy grain ingredients to achieve high energy intake while allowing adequate fiber intake.

When increasing the energy density of the diet with a high energy supplement such as RUMOFAT, additional undegradeable protein may be required for the incremental milk production.
